Watch our webinar on the benefits of share buybacks within a SMSF

The daily hits on thedunnthing blog have gone “off the charts” since I added my blog article about the benefits of share buy-backs within Self-Managed Super Funds.

The currently $5 billion BHP share buy-back has certainly got many super fund trustees interested to better understand the tax benefits of participating in this arrangement, even at a discount of between 10-14% of the current market price.

As a result of this demand and emails that I have been receiving about further information, I have now created a short pre-recorded webinar that outlines the key tax aspects of the BHP Billiton share buy-back.  Within this webinar I have provided examples in both accumulation and pension phase.

SMSF death benefit nominations webinar now available for download

After a successful webinar on SMSF death benefit nominations today, I have now uploaded this session onto the website for those people who were unable to attend.

Ian Glenister provided a fantastic insight into the issues and requirements surrounding the different types of death benefit nomination, including the benefits of the SMSF Will.
