Aaron is recognised as one of Australia’s leading authorities on Self Managed Super Funds. His passion for SMSFs has seen him grow and develop into an industry thought leader and is highly regarded by his peers for his technical and strategic abilities.
Aaron is the co-founder of The SMSF Academy, a business that helps professionals grow their SMSF business. He also co-founded SMSF101, the first truly online SMSF education solution for professionals within Australia.
A highly respected CPA and SMSF Specialist Advisor, Aaron has worked within the accounting and financial services sectors for more than 16 years, providing strategies and direction for professionals and trustees.
He is “The Futurist” in the upcoming No More Practice TV show (Sky Business & 4ME), where as one of six industry experts will help 3 financial services businesses with a $100,000 business transformation. Aaron also appears on Sky Business “Your Money Your Call – Retirement” on a regular basis. On many topical issues within the SMSF sector, Aaron is regularly sort after by the financial services media for comment, including feature articles in the Australian Financial Review (AFR) and Australian Newspapers.
In February 2010, Aaron was personally invited by the Chair of the Super System Review, Mr Jeremy Cooper to meet with him and share his views regarding the Phase Three Issues Paper on Structure (inc. SMSFs).

Aaron was an invited member of the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) SMSF Audit Working Group for Super Simplification, which was established as a result of the Simplification of Superannuation reforms introduced by the Coalition Government in July 2007.
Aaron is the current Chairman of the SPAA Victorian Chapter, SPAA National Membership Committee member and part of the SPAA National Conference Committee.
Aaron is married to wife, Natalie (since 2002), with three young children (twins – Ella & Thomas, and Benjamin).
Aaron loves his sport, being an Essendon FC AFL member and a member of Northern Golf Club. In a previous life (at a younger age), Aaron was a nationally ranked high jumper, achieving a personal best of 2.14m. He also ran professionally for a few years, including running at the Stawell Gift.
